ZOE BIRKETT

Actor and Presenter

Presenter, singer and West End star, Zoe is a natural when it comes to live hosting and TV presenting. Zoe has presented Top of the Pops Awards, the iconic CD:UK, The Clothes Show Live and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, and recently hosted the prestigious UK Theatre Awards and Conference News Agency Awards. As an osteoarthritis sufferer, she’s also an Ambassador for Arthritis Action UK and is one of the youngest people in the country to have undergone a hip replacement.

Zoe’s career began at just sixteen years old, where she captivated the nation and entertained viewers on ITV’s talent show juggernaut, Pop Idol, performing songs with precision, power and maturity by global stars like Whitney Houston and Beyonce. She captured the hearts and minds of the voting public and earned her place as the winning female contestant on the series in 2002. She was then signed by Simon Fuller’s 19 Management and her solo single Get Happy shot straight up the charts to number one. Two national arena tours followed, with Zoe performing to 250,000 fans up and down the country and the music chart success continued, with the Pop Idol Big Band album reaching number one in the album chart and subsequently going triple platinum within a year.

Zoe has since gone on to build an impressive career as an actor and singer and has sung at an array of high-profile events, including concerts at the iconic Royal Albert Hall singing alongside Annie Lennox and performing live with a twenty piece orchestra for the BBC’s landmark coverage of the 60th VE Day celebrations in London’s Trafalgar Square, where she entertained crowds of over 25,000 people. She’s performed for the Prince’s Trust, has sung for members of the royal family and has performed in a range of high-profile events over her esteemed career, including a residency of cabaret shows at the famous Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas, which has hosted stars including Celine Dion and Tom Jones.

A natural born performer, it was only a matter of time before the West End came calling and for the past decade Zoe has built a stellar reputation and garnered an array of rave reviews for her performances in an abundance of hit West End shows and national theatre tours. In 2022 Zoe won the award for ‘Best Supporting Performer in a Musical’ for her portrayal of ‘Arabia’ in Moulin Rouge, and is currently playing 'Tina Turner' herself in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, in London's West End.

Warm and charismatic, Zoe has an infectious energy and on screen presence and as well as her vocal and acting talent, is a natural when it comes to live hosting and TV presenting, having presented for the Top of the Pops Awards, the iconic CD:UK, the Clothes Show Live and ITV’s Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Utilising her range and skills as a performer, Zoe thrives in a live setting and with an audience to entertain. Zoe hosted the 2023 UK Theatre Awards at the prestigious Guildhall which celebrated outstanding achievements in theatre across the UK, and the 2024 Conference News Agency Awards.

She loves new challenges and as a busy mum, performer, property portfolio business owner and occasional DIY enthusiast, Zoe has many strings to her bow! With a loyal ever-growing social media following, Zoe has previously collaborated with family favourite brands such as NOW TV, Disney Cruise Line and Smyths Toys Superstores, as well as popular food brands Arla and Grenade.

Zoe is also an Ambassador for Arthritis Action, having undergone a hip replacement after suffering with severe osteoarthritis since she was thirteen years old. At the time, Zoe was one of the youngest people in the UK to have had this procedure, but her grit and determination took over and remarkably she had the procedure, which involved replacing her hip with a cemented titanium stem and hip socket, just weeks before she began rehearsals for Moulin Rouge. An unbelievable and hugely inspirational feat and one that she talks about publicly in order to help raise awareness for a condition that affects over 10 million people of all ages within the UK.

She enjoys travel and when not on stage or working, Zoe can be found jetting off to new and far-flung places with her husband and daughter. She recently collaborated with Virgin Voyages, exploring the beauty of the Caribbean on their Dominican Daze voyage.

Siren Talent represents Zoe exclusively for television and radio broadcast, commercials and brand collaborations, voiceover, publishing, corporate and live events. For any acting enquiries, Zoe is exclusively represented by Caroline de Wolfe at Felix De Wolfe.
